Common questions

Commercial pool questions, answered straight.

How long does commercial pool construction take?

It depends on scope — a mechanical-room retrofit and a ground-up natatorium are very different projects, and most commercial work is also tied to seasonal windows and facility schedules. When we scope your project, we walk the site first and give you a realistic timeline before work begins.

Where does JTR Pools work?

We're based in Indianapolis and work across Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and Kentucky. If your facility is in the four-state Midwest region, we can help.

Do you work on pools you didn't build?

Yes. Commercial pool renovations, mechanical-room overhauls, filter rebuilds, and ongoing service make up a large part of our work — and most of those projects start with an existing facility, whether or not we built it originally.

What's involved in a natatorium renovation?

Typical scopes include surface and tile refinishing, structural repairs, stainless-steel gutter systems, deck equipment, and mechanical upgrades — filtration, chemical treatment, and controls — brought up to current health-department and ADA code.

What types of facilities do you build for?

Commercial and institutional facilities only: schools and universities, municipal and park districts, YMCAs and fitness centers, waterparks and resorts, and apartment and multifamily communities. We don't do residential work.

Can you handle mechanical systems without a full renovation?

Yes — mechanical-only projects are common. That includes filter rebuilds and cleaning, Accu-Tab chlorination systems, UV treatment, surge and balance tanks, and complete mechanical-room overhauls.
